The generosity and support of the Headington community is crucial to the School’s continuing success. Fee income covers the operational running costs of the School and we are committed to keeping our fees as low as possible, ensuring that Headington remains accessible to talented girls from all backgrounds, who can thrive in our inclusive and vibrant environment.
In recent years we have been very fortunate to benefit from the generous support of current and former parents, Headingtonians and friends which has enabled the School to go from strength to strength.
Bursaries have always played an important part in Headington’s commitment to providing an excellent education for as many promising pupils as our resources will allow and sustaining and strengthening our provision for bursaries remains a key priority.
In addition to bursaries, we continue to invest in the teaching, learning and living environments of the School to support the ethos and vision for Headington. Over recent years, projects have included refurbishing the Science Labs, adapting the old Gymnasium to provide an award-winning Library at the heart of the School, building the Dance and Fitness Centre and extending the Sixth Form Centre to create a fantastic environment in which the students can study and relax. And in September 2021, we were delighted to open our Creativity & Innovation Centre: The Hive, enabling us to create the conditions to ensure that each of our pupils lives up to their creative potential.
Support for our bursary programme and leading-edge development projects would not be possible without the generous support of our entire Headington community for which we are very grateful.
How you can support Headington
Ways To Give
Every contribution makes a significant difference and through the collective generosity of our wider Headington community, we can continue to deliver an inspiring educational environment.
The HiveCreativity & Innovation Centre
We are really excited to be leading the way as a school by putting creative thinking at the heart of a Headington education. We want to ensure that every pupil thinks creatively in everything she does and are delighted to have built our Creativity & Innovation Centre: The Hive, benefiting not only our current pupils, but generations of future Headingtonians.
HSOBC has so far had more than 120 girls who have rowed competitively for team GB and an Olympian competing at the last four Olympic games. Despite becoming one of the largest, most admired and successful school Boat Clubs in the UK, HSOBC has never owned its own boathouse or had direct access to the River Thames.
Bursaries have always played an important part in the School’s commitment to providing an excellent education for as many promising pupils as our resources will allow. Headington is only able to extend this opportunity with the generous support of you, the family of Headington.
A legacy gift creates a permanent testimony to your affection for the School and allows you to provide support in a way in which you may not be able to during your lifetime.
