Year 8 Classics Trip

Year 8 pupils enjoyed a lovely summer’s day visiting Chedworth Roman Villa and Corinium Museum.

The trip was part of a wider study of the Roman presence in Britain and an introduction to a project later this term.

They were given a guided tour of Chedworth Roman Villa by the experts and saw up close how technologically advanced the Romans were from an examination of the Roman Bath Houses.

At Corinium, they took part in an education workshop, handling and interpreting artefacts from Romano British Graves and with some inevitable dressing up.

They were also able to investigate the lives of the people of Roman Corinium in the galleries.
