Year 7 Care Home Visit

Over the course of two Fridays in June, the Year 7s have been visiting local care homes as part of their PSHE programme.

Residents in four care homes were treated to a winning combination of poetry, magic and music including an electric guitar version of Jolene and Dancing Queen.

Head of Year 7 Mrs Lorraine Angel said: “The girls really enjoyed sharing their enthusiastic performances with the residents and it was wonderful to see so many of the members of the audience either joining in or tapping along in time.

“It’s important that our girls understand they are part of the wider community and this is just one of the ways we ‘give back’ – while also getting lots out of it themselves.”
