Year 2 search for minibeasts

On April 28th 2021, Year 2 girls became budding entomologists, carrying out a minibeast hunt at Forest School.

After a sunny picnic lunch enjoyed on the Davenport lawn, the girls grabbed their magnifying glasses and specimen jars to see what they could find.

Mrs Haynes, Year 2 form teacher said: “The girls were intrepid and fearless, leaving no log unturned in their hunt for the largest and crawliest creatures! Back in the classroom we will be producing ‘how to… leaflets’ to guide others wishing to hunt for minibeasts. We can’t wait to find out more about these fascinating insects who share our world during this term’s project!”
