Up close with exotic animals in Key Stage 1

Girls in Key Stage 1 enjoyed a visit from Simon Airey and his exotic collection of animals on Tuesday 25th May.

Simon brought with him an exotic collection of creatures from around the world to share with the girls including a chinchilla, a hedgehog, tarantulas, giant stick insects, giant snails and a boa constrictor to name a few!

He also came with a wealth of knowledge about the animals, the places they come from and their history which was extremely informative and everyone learned something new.

Staff were impressed with the girls’ confidence and enthusiasm to hold and touch these amazing creatures, as you will be able to see from the photos!

Mrs Joanna Haynes, Year Two Form Teacher said: “It was a great way to round off both our topics this half term and was a real treat.”
