U12 Hockey Tournament

The weather was really rainy and it nearly got cancelled because of it. It was freezing but we still played really well. We had some amazing goals. Tilly made some amazing saves. Our defence were amazing and so were the midfielders who were running up and down the pitch and our forward was good at scoring the goals. We played well as a team and did an excellent job at passing the ball and tackling the opposition. We did make some silly mistakes but we will learn not to do them next time.

On 28th February, the U12 A and B team went to the County Hockey Tournament. On arrival, the pitch was waterlogged meaning it was very nearly cancelled. Even though it rained, we prepared for our first match against Headington A! We knew it would be hard, the rain, wind and cold made condition tough. However, they only beat us by a few goals. The next three matches we won – some amazing goals were scored! At the break we filled up with hot chocolate and sweets. The A team finished first and the B team second.

We were really excited on the way to the County tournament and when we got there we were disappointed as the rain had flooded the whole pitch but luckily we could still play. It was freezing however we played amazingly especially considering the weather conditions. We absolutely smashed the short corners, with everyone working together as a great team! The attackers scored amazing goals after goals, the midfielders attacked and defended while Ruby and the defence made some amazing saves. Although we made some mistakes we learned from them so we will be even better next time!
