U11 IAPS Hockey
Wednesday 27th September
The IAPS hockey tournament is always an exciting day of hockey. St Edwards host a wonderful event with 20 schools in attendance. Headington started against Winchester House, who were a very well drilled team. The girls put up a very good fight against them but were beaten by the better team. The other group games were all closely contested, with the ball going from end to end. Headington showed great defensive strength but needed a bit more power when striking at goal. Headington finished 5th in their group and were invited to play a small round robin against two other schools. Once again, each game was very tight. Well played to all, with a number of children making great progress with their skills.
