Swimming gala with Oxford High

A team of 24 very excited year 4, 5 and 6 girls made the short journey to Oxford High Junior School for the first leg of a two part Swimming Gala with the return leg coming in January. It was a wonderful occasion that was enjoyed by all.
There was a wonderfully excited following of parents in attendance cheering the girls with every stroke and every race. For many of the girls this may not have been their first Swimming Gala but it was the first time that many of them had experienced the relays. This did not phase them at all. They all shone and aced every changeover.
Headington came first in four of the six relays and second in the other two. The girls’ dedication and commitment to their team was on show with every race. They were outstanding and in the end came away victorious.
