Swan Lake trip for Year 6

Year 6 have been enjoying a whistle stop tour of the History of Music during their music lessons.

As they started studying the Romantic period, during which ballet became more prolific, the Music Department decided to take the girls to see a performance.

Year 6 thoroughly enjoyed watching Swan Lake at the New Theatre on Thursday 29th Feb. The ballet was danced by Varna International Ballet.

The girls were amazed by the costume, set design and strength of the dancers.

Head of Music Mrs Amy Evetts said: “It is so important to give the girls cultural memorable experiences which will last a lifetime.”
