Sixth Former wins St Andrews Golf tournament

On 6th August Sabrina U6, took part in the St Andrews Junior Ladies’ Open 2019 – Links Trust Quaich (Stableford) which was played at the Strathtyrum Course.

 

Sabrina played an impressive 71 (+2) and gained 43 Stableford points which led to her winning the competition by two points! She now has her name engraved on the trophy in the St Andrew’s Old Course clubhouse.

 

Prior to the competition Sabrina took part in the MyPro Elite Golf Camp, where she played 18 holes of Golf on top of three hours of Golf tuition, sports psychology and strength and conditioning every day for two weeks.

 

Officially Sabrina’s handicap is currently nine after having played golf for around seven years. Currently, she plays fixtures with Oxford Ladies’ Golf Team as a part of the Oxfordshire County Junior Golf Association but previous experiences include participating in international events as part of her old school team in Malaysia and as part of the Malaysian selection for the Junior Causeway Cubs Challenge against Singapore.
