Short Film Success

A Headington sixth former has been recognised in a prestigious short film competition run by Into Film.

During the summer holidays Katie (L6) joined friends from Magdalen College School to make a dark comedy short film about a woman who wants to get out of her dull work life and as a result, ends up spiralling down a murderous path.

Katie plays the lead role, and helped to ‘storyboard’ each scene with her friend and director, Max. Max wrote, directed, produced and composed the music for the film.

It was entered into a competition run by Into Film, an organisation supported by the British Film Institute. Out of 500 entries, it was awarded one of the four runner up prizes in the ‘film of the month’ competition. It has also been entered into the BFI Future Film Festival 2021, but the result of that is yet unknown.

Her film can be watched here.
