Scholars’ work exhibited online

Work created by Headington’s talented academic scholars has gone on display online.

At a time when connecting with others is more challenging but more important than ever, the theme for this year’s Academic Scholars’ Programme, coincidentally, has been ‘Connections’.

Scholars have been considering the theme in interdisciplinary seminars throughout the year. This included one in February, while school was still open to all pupils, led by U6 scholars on the emerging covid-19 pandemic.

Younger scholars have been working on independent projects throughout the year inspired by the theme, their interests and the programme of seminars. Of the School’s 50 academic scholars, 28 featured in the exhibition.

Mr Matt Wood, Assistant Head Academic, said: “Dr Coleman-Jones and I have loved seeing how these projects have developed. Their work aptly showcases the intellectual inquiry and enthusiasm that marks out the best and most fulfilling scholarship at Headington.”

The exhibition went live to parents, girls and governors on Monday 1st June and will be available until Sunday 7th June.
