Scholars’ Dinner 2024
Headington’s Academic Scholars gathered together for the annual scholars’ dinner. Read the report from Nena below:
“It was lovely to connect with younger and older scholars over discussions of academic work – chiefly the scholars’ projects (that will be presented in the summer at our annual exhibition).
The dinner is always a brilliant chance to share ideas and marvel at the creativity and curiosity within the scholars’ programme.
After brief introductions, we sat down to a delicious dinner prepared by Headington’s wonderful catering staff including an amazing chocolate cake!
Exploring this year’s theme of ‘Discovery’, the evening was led by the U6. They guided us through some tricky quiz questions and word scrambles before we finished with some ‘engineering’ in the form of playing-card towers.
Thank you so much to all those who made the event such an enjoyable evening (with a special thanks to Mr Thomson and Dr Coleman-Jones). We look forward to forthcoming scholars’ events this year, not least the ever-popular trip in the summer.”
