Revolting Rhymes by Year 2

Girls from Year 2 displayed their skills in the theatre while they performed a selection of Roald Dahl’s ‘Revolting Rhymes’ for a live stream on Wednesday 25th November. Through a combination of poetry reading and acting, the girls told the stories of The Three Little Pigs, Jack and the Beanstalk, Cinderella and Little Red Riding Hood, all for the enjoyment of the audience at home. Girls performed in their form groups and took on a variety of roles in either acting or narration, neither of which were easy as the stories have unexpected twists and turns to such famous fables.

Mrs Catherine Fillis-Parker said: “The girls did amazingly well to cope with the slick set and costume changes along side the fast paced poems.”

Mrs Joanna Haynes said: “The girls had to imagine that they had an audience in front of them but they overcame the pressure to perform amazingly well! Well done everyone!”
