Reception End of Pier show

The girls from Reception have really enjoyed their recent topic of ‘Who lives in a rock pool?’, which focused on a seaside theme and taught them about the creatures who live on the seashore.

They answered questions such as ‘Why do crabs have shells?’ and also learnt about the traditional end of pier shows that happened in the past. Using this newfound knowledge as inspiration, the children created their own show full of jokes, stories, poems, dances and songs. They wore outfits inspired by the sea and performed to their parents with glee.

Miss Ruth Sibly, Head of Early Years Foundation Stage, said: “It was a lovely way to end the topic and round off the Summer Term, especially for those who will be moving up to Year 1 in September.”
