Prep Cross Country Triumph
Congratulations to all the runners who came out on a wet and soggy morning to race in the South Oxfordshire Cross Country Championships on Saturday 29th February. In the Year 1 race Kitty came home in fourth place after a busy week of training around the school playground! She was followed by Ellie in 17th and Sophie in 18th. In the Year 2 race Olivia continued her good form from last year finishing in five, followed by Emma in tenth and Harriet in eleventh. In the Year 4 race Pia worked hard for her first every victory, followed by Alex in seventh and Dana in eighth. In the Year 5 race Chrissy led all the way and finished a good 300 m ahead of second place, Sophie came home in sixth and Elsa in ninth. In the Under 11s Agatha came home in second, Emma in seventh and Clara in ninth. That meant the Prep girls were team winners in the U9, U10 and U11 categories. All the Headington Prep runners should be very proud of their performances. The sun even came out to celebrate our achievements!
