Philosophy Presentation Evening 2025
The recent Philosophy Presentation Evening, held in the school library, was a celebration of the outstanding achievements of Year 10 pupils.
It marked the culmination of months of dedicated philosophical study, giving pupils the opportunity to share the projects they have been developing throughout the year for the HRO Award in Philosophy.
Twenty enthusiastic pupils presented their work to an audience of parents, teachers, and invited guests.
Their topics ranged from the metaphysics of free will to the nature of human consciousness, revealing impressive levels of insight, creativity and critical thinking.
Guests moved from display to display, engaging in thoughtful dialogue with students who spoke with clarity and confidence.
Philosophy and Religious Studies teacher Mr Simon Drew said: “The standard of work on display was exceptional and reflected the pupils’ deep engagement with philosophical questions.
“The evening was a delightful celebration of hard work, collaborative thinking, and academic curiosity. Well done to all our pupils!”
