Mock American Primaries

On Friday 26th May the L6 Politics class took part in mock US Primaries, in which they took on the role of real Republican candidates who will be speaking at the Primaries in Iowa next year.

This exercise allowed the students to gain a better understanding of the complicated US election process, while also engaging with current politics.

L6 Politics student Amber said: “It was an informative lesson that allowed me to understand the US primaries while also learning more about the republican candidates.”

The class really enjoyed the experience and hope to repeat this with the Democrat candidates soon.
