Mind, Body and Soul 2024

Talented dancers wowed sell-out audiences for a spectacular annual showcase of Dance at Headington.

The Mind, Body and Soul Dance Show was performed to sold out crowds over two nights at the beginning of February.

Around 160 students from U3-U6 performed in a wide variety of styles from Modern to Street Dance to Ballet.

Director of Dance Miss Faith Jackson said: “The dancers demonstrated outstanding commitment, focus and ability, performing challenging choreography and creating their own work. It was an amazing show; the students are incredibly talented and we are so very proud of them all.”

“A special mention and thank you also goes to the Dance Department: Mr Shaun Dillon, Miss Jenai Mason-Smith, Miss Caitlin Walker, Mrs Kylie Waite and Miss Elspeth Wilson. They continue to support the dancers in achieving their very best, whilst creating new and inspiring works and helping with the organisation of the show. We would also like to wish Miss Jenai-Mason Smith all the best for her maternity leave!”

The show also offered a sneak preview of the upcoming whole school ballet performance of ‘Alice in Wonderland’, with cast members offering a tantalising glimpse of what they can expect in the show next month.

U6 A Level dancers Zoe and Kiran said “We look forward to the dance show all year, it brings in all dancers from across the entire school. We’ve performed in the Mind, Body and Soul show since U3 and we really are going to miss these shows!”
