Maths Challenge Success

Two talented Headington Rye pupils, Ai Ling and Victoria (Year 9) recently achieved mathematical success in a national competition.

They were competing in the UKMT Mathematical Olympiad — a prestigious and highly challenging competition aimed at pupils who excel in the Intermediate Mathematical Challenge.

Between them, Ai Ling and Victoria earned a Certificate of Distinction and a Certificate of Merit — accolades awarded to the top-performing participants nationwide.

Maths teacher Mr David Isanski said: “We are so pleased with how Ai Ling and Victoria rose to the occasion. They showed real determination and mathematical flair.”

Congratulations to both girls on their outstanding achievements!
