Sustainability lesson at The Living Rainforest

On Wednesday 1st November, Year 6 visited the Living Rainforest in Newbury as part of their topic this term which asks overriding question “How can we make it better?.” They learnt about the wide variety of plants that exist in rainforests and support the animals that also inhabit them. They also discussed the impact of climate change on these special ecosystems, what the future of these places might look like and how best to protect them.
Isla commented: “the workshop in the rainforest allowed us to deepen our perspective of how we can live more sustainably. We saw many types of species, learnt how they were endangered and what we can do to help. I really loved our trip and learnt loads.”
