Learning about Queens

Year 2 had a visit from The Woodstock Museum on Wednesday 15th January to find out about three English Queens through history; Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth I and Queen Elizabeth II. They learnt about what it meant to be a Queen in each era and looking at primary and secondary sources to give us clues to the past. The girls experienced writing with a Quill and a Dip Pen, discovering that whilst some of them preferred the Quill, most found the Dip Pen easier. Thank you to the Woodstock Museum for a fantastic Workshop.
