Hockney-inspired landscapes at Prep

Year 5 girls are working together to create landscapes inspired by one of the most influential British living artists.

In Art lessons, the girls learned about how David Hockney creates textures using a range of art equipment.

The pupils cut up landscapes they had found online and worked in groups of two and three to divide them. Next, they drew their section of the landscape and used oil pastels to follow the style of David Hockney. Once completed they put their work together to make one large landscape. What fantastic results!
