Headingtonians’ Day 2019
On Saturday 15th June, Headington School welcomed back over 180 Headingtonians and former members of staff to Headingtonians’ Day.
The event was the perfect chance for the alumnae to celebrate important anniversaries since leaving Headington, including a chance for leavers from years 1959, 1969, 1979, 1989, 1999 and 2009.
It was also an opportunity to say goodbye to some of our much loved retiring members of staff, Dr Jennette Jefferies, Mrs Carolyn Al-Sabouni, Mrs Sally Wilkinson, Mrs Maureen Cooper, Dr Helen Brooks and Mrs Lynn Winkworth after a delicious lunch prepared by Headington’s catering team. All six retiring members of staff received a gift of thanks for their dedication to Headington over so many years and personal messages from members of the Headington School community. Guests were also offered tours around the School so that they could see the changes since their last visit.
Miss Victoria Huggett, one of the event’s organisers said: “It was a wonderful day. We hope to see many more alumnae and former staff at next year’s Headingtonians’ Day.”
