GSA Football Tournament
A team of Headington Rye Oxford Prep girls travelled to King’s High in Warwick on Thursday 8th May for a Football tournament that saw teams from all over the country competing.
The girls showed exceptional skill and determination during the different stages of the competition.
They only conceded two goals in the whole tournament and it is due to their hard work that they came third overall in the plate competition.
See below a write up from Football Captain Dana:
On Thursday, we went all the way to Warwick for a Football tournament organised by the GSA. We spent the morning playing games, this was to sort the teams into three divisions: the cup, the plate or the shield. We were really pleased to qualify for the plate.
After a few battles in the afternoon, we came third out of 15 teams! All the players did really well. And we came home singing songs in the minibus.
