Girls Go Ape at bonding day

The U4 spent their bonding day on Friday 23rd September at Go Ape at Wendover Woods, where they were treated with an invaluable opportunity for them to build and strengthen new and old friendships while their tutors got to know them in a relaxed and informal setting.

The girls swung from the trees, zipped down zip lines and conquered an elevated assault course, something that’s not for the faint hearted. The team at GoApe organised team-building exercises on the way which fostered collaborative creative thinking, confidence and courage which created unforgettable memories for all.

Mr Abel Latorre-Serna, Head of U4 said: “While tarzan swings, zip lines and wobbly obstacles may not be everyone’s cup of tea, all the U4 pupils gave the high ropes a go and let themselves get pushed out of their comfort zone.

“I was impressed with the way the girls helped each other with top tips on how to complete certain sections.

“I think the day was fantastic for developing essential life skills, building on personal development and forging strong relationships with their peers.”
