Football vs Oxford High School

U11 Football

The U11s had their first Football match of the season on 7th November against local rivals, Oxford High School.

Oxford High started well, immediately applying pressure on to the Headington defence. Summer, Headington’s goalkeeper, had a busy time and made some excellent saves. Headington then grew in confidence and created several opportunities to score.

However, against the run of play, Oxford High had a breakthrough and managed to score. The final score was 0-1 to Oxford High. Headington’s player of the game was Rose.

Under 10 Football

The U10s got off to a good start and attacked the Oxford High goal, creating several chances to score. Oxford High defended well and kept Headington at bay. A penalty was then awarded, which was very well taken by Isla.

Headington remained in control and were unlucky not to score again before the final whistle. The final score was 1-0 to Headington. The player of the match was Amber.
