Fabulous concerts in the music school

Our first lunchtime concert of the term took place on Tuesday 15th October in our music school, and what a fantastic concert it turned out to be!

The audience was treated to a great variety of music, from a jazz trio to a classical string trio, soloists and a unique bass and voice solo. There was something for everyone to enjoy.

A variety of fantastic music was also performed by soloists and small groups in two more concerts, a classical lunchtime concert on Tuesday 12th November and a newly-presented Jazz Cakes tea concert on Thursday 14th November after school.

The young musicians worked extremely hard to present a wonderful variety of entertaining and skilful performances.

Parents are always welcome to come along to these events, which are advertised on the school calendar.

In the spirit of the Year of Community we are looking for relatives or close friends with Bass and Tenor voices to join the Chamber Choir for one or two pieces at this year’s Christmas Carol Service. If you would like to put your name forward, or for more information, please contact acting director of music, Mr Tom Anderson tanderson@headington.org as soon as possible.
