Exciting academic exploration at scholars’ presentation

“What do the following have in common?: Genetic engineering, Anglo-Saxon poetry, wind turbines and the Hong Kong economy. Answer: probably nothing, other than they were just four from over 45 topics presented by the U6 on Tuesday 12th November at the annual Academic Presentations Evening.

All U6 who undertook the A Level Extended Project Qualification, plus all those applying to Oxford or Cambridge this year (who showcased either their IB Extended Essays or other research) gave talks.

Mr Matthew Wood, Assistant Head Academic said: “The quality of investigation, critical analysis and presentation was superb and a testament not only to their hard work but also the guidance and inspiration of the staff that mentored them. Well done to all!”
