ESSA Primary Team Championships 2022
The Headington Prep swimming squad had a great day out at the ESSA finals in Sheffield on Saturday 18th June.
The freestyle relays were first and with 22 teams reaching the National Finals the competition was stiff. In the heat they swam their fastest time to date with a time of 1.03.99. This was three seconds faster than their time at the Regional Finals. This assured them of a place in the A final. A strong swim in the final saw them finish in 7th place.
In the medley relay, 22 teams again were fighting it out for a place in the finals. In the heat they gained another personal best time with 1.12.95 mins. This was an amazing seven seconds faster than their Regionals time. Another great swim saw them finish 8th in the A final.
