Dancing at The Place

Dancers had an exciting glimpse into the world of professional dance with a special workshop for GCSE and A Level students.

On Wednesday 16th November, the dancers visited London Contemporary Dance school, The Place.

The day included a workshop led by a professional dance artist, observations of LCDS higher education pupils in training, a tour of LCDS and a talk about potential careers in the dance industry.

There was also the wonderful opportunity to see former A Level students and Performing Arts Scholars Olivia and Mads who are training at LCDS, in their technique class.

Director of Dance Faith Jackson said: “The day was very inspiring and all of the dancers enjoyed the experience. Well done to all of the dancers for their focus and hard work in the dance class.”
