Cross Country match v Rye St Antony

On Monday 28th March, Headington Prep welcomed Rye St Antony for the last match of the term. It was a lovely sunny afternoon to be able to welcome parents and siblings to cheer everyone on. There were over 40 Headington runners and for some it was their first competitive race.

The Year 3s were well represented with 16 girls taking part. Kitty was on her usual top form, outsprinting the Rye competitor to take another first place – she has been unbeaten this year! Great runs followed with Martha finishing in fourth and Rosabel in sixth in her first competition.

In the Under 9s, Emma led from start to finish, followed by Effie in third and Evie in fourth. In the Under 10s, Abby produced another fine run to finish in first, followed by Lily in second and Iona in fifth. In the Under 11s, Headington came home in first with Pia, second Dana and Jess third.

Well done to all competitors. The girls should all be very proud of their performances.
