Christingle at the Prep School

On 5th December, Years 1 and 2 enjoyed a memorable Christingle service at All Saints Church in Headington. The Rev Tom Howell brought along a giant orange to demonstrate the Christingle and its meaning.

There was some beautiful singing from all the girls and poems performed by Year 1 and Year 2 who spoke with great clarity and enthusiastic supporting actions. Year 2 pupils also did wonderful readings of the Christmas story throughout the service in between the songs, poems and talk.

There was also a retiring collection which raised £144.77 for The Children’s Society.

Following on from the service, parents were invited to enjoy a glass of mulled wine and mince pies at school afterwards which was a lovely start to the festive season.
