Chedworth and Corinium visit

On Wednesday 26th June, L4 visited Corinium Museum and Chedworth Roman villa as a culmination of their study of Roman Britain in Latin this year.

They had seen the main character in the curriculum textbook travel to Britannia post Vesuvius and considered the effects, both positive and negative, of the Roman occupation of Britain.

At Chedworth, girls had a personalised tour around one of the most important villas to remain from the Roman period as well as learning about Roman medical treatments in a hands-on session.

At Corinium, girls were able to consider the extent of the settlement at Cirencester at this superb museum complete with full mosaic floorings found in situ. The weather was kind and an enjoyable trip was had by all.
