Art Exhibition Success

A gifted Year 9 artist was invited to take part in a special banquet and exhibition in Paris after producing an exceptional piece of artwork.

Ann was invited to the event run by the Alliances Françaises inspired by the theme of the Franco-Chinese Month of the Environment (MFCE) after winning the MFCSE Special Prize: Audience Award for Best Work. Read Ann’s account below:

“During the celebration banquet held in the French Union Exhibition Hall, I was privileged to take part in an interview, sharing my thoughts and opinions on my piece of art.

In addition, it was also a great opportunity for me to socialize and meet many new friends across the fields of art and governance.

As I entered the meeting room, I was extremely exhilarated and surprised by the view of my piece of art and my intro presented on the gigantic screen.

Excitingly, I was taken to perform my opening speech along with the most esteemed judges and famous artists. Later on, we explored the rest of the art gallery in groups. During this process, I met famous French artist Deanna Gao, District Councillor Daniel Tran of the 13th arrondissement in Paris and Secretary General of the French Alliance Foundation (Mark Cerdan).

Having built strong friendships with them, I received many congratulations as well as suggestions on improving intricate details of my artwork in future projects.

Lastly, the amazing event ended with an interview with Deanna Gao, based on our impressions of the art gallery that evening, linking it to the ultimate goal of protecting our environment.
