Year 6 Residential Bushcraft Trip

The Year 6 residential Bushcraft trip to Badminton Woods, Gloucestershire, from Wednesday 18th June – Friday 20th June was an unforgettable adventure, packed with challenges that tested resilience and fostered personal growth.

Immersed in the wild, pupils stepped out of their comfort zones as they camped under the stars, cooked their own meals over open fires and embraced the outdoors without the comforts of modern life.

Deputy Head Pastoral Mrs Tessa Davey said: “From building shelters and learning how to start fires safely, to mastering essential survival skills, every moment brought new experiences that encouraged independence and confidence.

“Most importantly, the trip was a powerful opportunity for teamwork, as pupils collaborated to overcome obstacles and support one another—proving just how capable and united they can be.”
