Year 6 Play

‘We’ll Meet Again’ will be the theme for the special leavers’ show for Year 6 girls at Headington Prep.

The girls have been working hard on their leavers’ show over the past few weeks in readiness for their big day.

Consolidating their knowledge of the Second World War, the script follows the lives of evacuee children and their adventures in the countryside during the war. For the first time ever, they will be presenting their show as a film, which will be premiered at the end of term with a special ‘red carpet’ event.

With hair curlers in and lipstick applied, the girls will take to the set this Friday 28th May for lights, camera, action!

Girls and staff have worked together to create a spectacular set (complete with Anderson Shelter), source authentic WW2 props and raid their wardrobes for woollen pullovers and caps. Not to mention the fabulous songs which the pupils enjoyed recording using Headington Senior School’s professional equipment.

Mrs Victoria Cox, Year 6 form teacher said: “The cast have worked together brilliantly, had great fun preparing and we cannot wait to see the final edit!”
