U3 visit care homes across Headington

On Friday 17th March, each U3 form visited a different care home across Headington to give a concert and meet the residents.

Each form had been planning their music, poetry and dance in form times and gave some fantastic performances including ‘The Owl and the Pussycat’, ‘These are a few of my Favourite Things’ and ‘Somewhere over the Rainbow’.

The girls made a programme to hand out with a running order and lyrics so that residents could join in with some of the singing.

Head of U3, Mrs Hannah Badger said: “The staff and residents at the care homes were really appreciative of the visit, the entertainment was very well-received and this was a fantastic way for the girls to engage directly with our local community.”

The visit is part of Headington’s Personal, Social, Health and Economic programme. Each year the School organises a number of events seeing girls of all ages engaging with the local community.
