U12s head to regionals
The U12 Headington Hockey team travelled to Woking Hockey Club on Tuesday 26th March to compete in their Regional Hockey finals. The girls progressed to this stage by coming second in their county tournament earlier this term.
The team worked hard and stepped up to the next level of Hockey on a gloriously sunny day. It was a very busy and intense morning which saw the Headington U12 team play Sir William Borlase School, St George’s College, St Benedict’s School, Danes Hill, Tiffin School and The Abbey. With this being a regional level competition the girls were slightly out-skilled by their fellow competitors, losing five of their matches in close contest. However, they kept pressing on, with morale high, and managed a 1-0 win against The Abbey.
The girls showed great team spirit, played excellently and represented Headington very professionally. They should all be very proud of their efforts this term and how far they have come on with their Hockey skills throughout this year!
