French and German plays impress
Headington hosted the multi-talented, multi-lingual Onatti Theatre Company for two separate productions in March.
All girls studying German as part of their languages carousel in U3 were treated to ‘So Eine Nervensäge!’, along with L4 and U4 German students. The group was joined by pupils from Cheney School in Headington.
The hour-long comedy was a play dealing with sibling rivalry and the trials of having an extremely annoying little sister trying to wreck a date. As always, Onatti brought excellent acting, a funny script and some great slapstick comedy together to entertain the pupils, with, as usual, plenty of interaction with the audience and co-opting pupils as extra characters.
U3 girls were joined by Year 5 and 6 from the Prep School for a French production, ‘Un ticket dans l’espace’.
They were fully entertained for 45 minutes and there was a lot of enthusiasm to perform in French. Natalie, U3 was selected to join the cast on stage and seemed to enjoy being part of the action. This basic and fun French language play triggered lots of clapping and laughter.
