Chamber Choir sings at Winchester Cathedral
Members of Headington’s Chamber Choir travelled to Winchester Cathedral on Wednesday 15th May to sing a service of choral evensong.
The girls had prepared canticles by Sumsion, a plainchant psalm and the beautiful anthem ‘Litany to the Holy Spirit’ by Hurford. Singing in the acoustic of such a magnificent building was a fantastic experience for the choir, who all agreed we should return there again!
Director of Music Mrs Aimee Jamison said: “We were pleased to have a congregation of around 50 people, including some parents who had driven down to support us. Many thanks to the choir for their superb singing and for representing Headington so well.”
