Chamber Choir and St Andrew’s Special Pentecost Service
On Sunday 9th June, members of the Headington School Chamber Choir joined the choir of St Andrew’s Headington for a special Pentecost service. This was one of many collaborative events with St Andrew’s – a church the School has a strong connection with. As well as leading the music throughout the service, the girls performed a beautiful version of Heinrich Schütz’s Lord, Hear my Prayer during the communion, followed by a joint performance of Hurford’s Litany to the Holy Spirit with the choir of St Andrew’s.
Mrs Aimee Jamison, Headington’s Director of Music said: “The church is a very beautiful space, and we look forward to visiting again soon! A big thank you to the choir and also to Richard Bennett, Director of Music at St Andrew’s, for inviting us.”
