Careers Fair gets girls thinking

On Tuesday 19th March the bi-annual careers fair was held at Headington.

This involved 65 professionals from the Headington School community giving up their time to talk to Headington girls, giving them valuable advice and insight into different careers. With over 40 different fields of interest, to explore it certainly gave the girls something to think about.

Head of Careers Lyn Cockshott said: “It was fantastic to see so many Headingtonians return to the event. While they are now fully involved in their own professional lives it is not long since they were in a similar situation to students themselves. It certainly showed what opportunities lie ahead for our students and gave them inspiration for the future.”

During the evening, the School’s development team also launched Headington Connect, a new online platform which allows the Headington community to engage with one another and develop career mentoring, work experience and business networking opportunities, as well as having access to social opportunities.

Current and former staff, parents and girls from the Sixth Form onwards can sign up at You can sign up in less than five minutes by syncing your LinkedIn or Facebook profile, or sign up with your email address. For any further information please contact the Headington Connect Team at The platform is for those who are part of the Headington School community.
