Animal Antics

On the first day of term years 1 and 2 enjoyed an excellent visit from Corner Exotics and Simon the Animal Man. He brought with him a wide range of creatures including snakes, chinchillas, tarantulas, chameleons and tree frogs! The children learnt about where they all come from, how to care for them and why some of them are currently endangered. The next day came the Year 1 animal dress up day. A whole array of animals replaced the usual Year 1 children. Instead, Miss Paice and Miss Sibly taught sharks, flamingos, crocodiles, bats, foxes, fish, butterflies and rabbits amongst others! What a superb start to our new topic Paws, Claws and Whiskers.
