IB ESS and Biology at Wytham Woods

To celebrate the end of the IB course in Environmental Systems and Societies and Biology, 11 students enjoyed a trip to nearby Wytham Woods on Monday 17th May.

A talk and walk with the Conservator, Nigel Fisher, gave the students a chance to hear about some of the long-term ecological studies underway in this world-famous site.

In a disappointingly wet May the girls were lucky to enjoy some spring sunshine enhancing the colours of the spring leaves and bluebells.

For those interested in learning about the woods or visiting this beautiful place on our doorstep there are some excellent short videos on the Oxford University website https://www.zoo.ox.ac.uk/wytham-woods-laboratory-leaves and information about visiting on https://www.wythamwoods.ox.ac.uk/home#/
