Welcome to Headington Prep.
Based in a rambling Victorian house just one mile from the centre of Oxford, our school combines a friendly, family atmosphere with a top-quality, broad-based education for girls aged 3-11.
These early years in which patterns of learning are established are the most influential in a child's school career. It is our belief that happy children thrive.
We focus on the development of the whole child, encouraging individuals not only to meet their potential and fly, but to exceed it and to soar. We do this by offering a broad curriculum with a wide range of extra curricular activities and by teaching pupils not only how to learn, but how to think and how to question.
We encourage them to be forward thinking and adaptable and to become confident individuals with excellent social skills and strong global awareness.
The ability to communicate and build good relationships is an essential quality for a happy and fulfilled life. If children are respected, they respect others; if they are listened to, they will listen, and if they are treated with honesty, thoughtfulness and generosity, they will respond in kind. They inspire us in our teaching and it is their right and our duty that we should inspire them.
