Under 19 County Netball Champions
Congratulations to our 1st Netball Team, who were named County Champions following the recent tournament at John Mason School! The girls go on to play in the South Region Tournament in January.
They were unbeaten in the seven matches in their section, and went on to meet Oxford High in the semi–final. With great determination and great shooting, they won 12-5. The final was against the home team, John Mason, who matched Headington goal for goal to reach a half-time score of 5-4 to Headington.
With three minutes to go our team defended well, and the final score was 12-9 to Headington. We wish the girls the best of luck in the forthcoming Southern Tournament.
Our 2nd Team also played well in the tournament, with some close-played games against other schools' A teams. They lost narrowly to King Alfreds and beat Matthew Arnold, showing excellent team spirit to finish 7th in their section.
