Top of the class for GCSE
Headington girls achieved some fantastic grades in their GCSEs this summer, with more than 40 girls scoring straight A/A* grades and five taking straight A*s. There was additional cause for celebration in the ICT department, when four girls were named amongst the top 10 GCSE candidates in the country!
Headmistress Mrs Coutts said, ‘With 78.7% of all grades at A or A*, and five girls getting 11 or 12 straight A*s, I am of course proud of these results. Girls and staff have worked hard to achieve this, and I congratulate them. An added bonus is four girls whose ICT results were so outstanding. I have a fellow feeling for this year group, who started their career at the senior school at Headington at the same time as I took up my post as Head. I’m delighted to see them do so well.’
