Sports Day report
It was fantastic to see so many girls competing in great spirit in lovely sunny conditions in Sports Day last week. Several of the events were closely battled right to the finish line but unfortunately there was a little too much head wind into the home straight for records to be broken.
There were many outstanding performances throughout the day, with some exceptional individual efforts. Finally, however, the Junior House Cup was won by Isis and the Intermediate House Cup by Oxen, who were also crowned this year's Overall Sports Day House Champions.
A great day was had by all, with Victor Laudorum medals going to three girls (including our School Athletics Captain, who proved her mettle with three wins and a second place) for their superb performance across a range of events.
Those who spectated from the sidelines during the track events had just as enjoyable day as the racers themselves, cheering on their respective houses whilst enjoying Godwin's Ice Cream from the visting van, before the teachers' Egg and Spoon race provided the day's finale.
