Headington Prep Chamber Choir Girls celebrate their GCSE results, 2009

Fees

All the costs incurred in the usual course of educating your child, including the provision of any necessary educational materials (unless otherwise notified), are covered by our Fees.

Fees are charged in advance at the start of each term.

Extra costs

Costs for extra-curricular activities such as private music lessons, trips and visits in which your child may participate, are not included in our fees and you will be charged extra for these. In particular, all public examination charges, Sixth Form text books, calculators and certain additional charges that may be incurred by the School in providing for the special educational needs of your child will be charged as extra.

Extra costs are charged in arrears and are included in the invoice for the subsequent term.

Discounts and financial support

Means-tested bursaries of up to 100% of fees are available for those who would otherwise be unable to afford an education at Headington. Visit our Headington Access Programme page to find out more. We can also accept certain kinds of Nursery vouchers for girls in the Nursery and Pre-Kindergarten only - contact the Bursary for more information.

A range of Scholarships are also available - visit our Scholarships page to find out more. If your daughter is awarded a scholarship, you may elect to be means-tested in order to increase the level of her award.

Payment of Fees

There are two principal methods for paying fees:

Termly Direct Debits - 3 payments per year each made in advance, on the day before term starts.

Monthly Direct Debits - 12 payments per year made in advance as follows:

  • For the Autumn Term - on 1 July, 1 August, 1 September and 1 October.
  • For the Spring Term – on 1 November, 1 December, 1 January and 1 February.
  • For the Summer Term – on 1 March, 1 April, 1 May and 1 June

For further details please contact the Bursary.

Advance Payment of Fees

The School also operates an advance payment of fees scheme through which we can offer you a discount on fees, based on a defined lump sum payable in advance for a specific number of term’s schooling. The discount is dependent on market rates but is fixed once an agreement is reached, which may operate for up to 5 year’s fees. The scheme provides a sum of money towards fees rather protection against fees’ rises. You would get a termly bill to account for the extras and for any difference between the forecast and actual fees. For further details please contact the Bursary on 01865 759120.
